5.2 Scanography in Art Making
Scanography gives lots of flexibilities and potentials in art making. You can choose your own objects and arrange them in your choice to scan. When choosing your objects, you can come with your own theme to paint the scene. Scanning is also quick to do, so it gives you more time to think about the objects and the arrangements. It's like painting on the scanner board. I could see students having lots of fun with scanners because of its flexibility. It opens up a discussion on what objects could be scanned and how they can be scanned. It's a nice transition from digital photography section; and a deeper and different tool to explore the objects and themes.

agreed about having fun, and that you can "paint the screen"! its almost like the scanner is a bridge a student can use to walk to the computer's side, so to speak.
