7.1 New Outside, New Inside

I collaborated with Dahye on this project. We first talked about the concept and decided to record sounds from outside and inside. Dahye collected sounds from the outside which were wind and traffic. I collected inside sounds at the TC library. I stood in front of two printers to collect one of two sounds and used a computer to collect the second sound. After collecting the total of four sounds together, Dahye and I wanted to familiarize ourselves with the app, Audacity by watching YouTube tutorials. We were both fascinated by how much Audacity could do and how much control we had over sound. We kept playing with the sounds on Audacity by spliting sounds, increasing some volumes, and adding in some effects. During the process, we talked a lot on where to add certain sound and when to increase and decrease the volumes. We uploaded our result on SoundCloud. Hope you all enjoy!
